Beaudoin Jewelry is the creative brainchild of Jennifer Beaudoin Moffitt. For decades preceding entrepreneurship, her career path was in the graphics field as art has always been her focus.
In 2017, she came to a crossroad where she could take the terrifying leap of following her passion to start her own glass jewelry business or stay on the career path she had chosen, remain ‘safe’ and financially sound as she sprinted toward her retirement years. It was her supportive husband who tipped the scale, encouraged her to go for it, and is her daily champion.
"My jewelry, primarily pendant necklaces and earrings, is very colorful glass made with combinations of metallic-coated layer[s] as the 'hero element'. I often use mosaic trimmers to give the edges a deckled-edge look for interest and/or score the top layer and slightly separate to allow a lower layer to peek through. My glass décor and glass candles also have metallic hero elements but, because of their size, allow me to utilize the "white space (strong color) is my friend" design paradigm. After firing, I grind to refine the shape of my work, fire polish and, if a décor piece, slump."
