Looking forward to 2021 and the containment of the Corona Virus; we have planned two Festivals, on April 10 and 11, and on August 14 and 15. Both will be located on the beautiful historic grounds of the Spotsylvania Courthouse where there will be more than enough space for social distancing, as we are expanding onto the adjacent lawns of the new Courthouse. We will, of course, follow the current guidelines regarding the safety and well-being of our Exhibitors and Shoppers. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS as you don’t want to miss these events.
This is a Family Friendly Festival.
What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring or to do your Christmas shopping than visiting both of these events. As you stroll through the tree-covered lawns you will meet and be able to talk with the creators of sculptures, paintings, pottery, photography, one-of-a-kind jewelry designs, batiks and much more. This Festival offers a wide variety of mediums, styles, sizes, subject matters and price ranges. There will be something that will appeal to everyone who attends. At the August event, we have added an event for children where they can create art, with supervision. There will also be face-painting for the children as well as adults.
Make both of these destination weekends. Spotsylvania is located midway between Washington, D.C, and Richmond and a short trip from Charlottesville, it is a picturesque county known for being as unique as its name. On a Spotsylvania vacation, things to do, in addition to the Arts Festival, range from touring historic battlefields to visiting wineries and sampling the area’s varied dining, shopping, music and arts.

“My husband and I planned a mini-vacation just to attend this Festival and I am so glad we did. The quality of the artists was exceptional. We are consummate art festival junkies and we found so many new an unusual types and styles of art. The variety or vendors and the quality of the art work made this one of the best Festivals we have attended. We are looking forward to returning next year.”

“I am now a local resident and coming from a large metropolitan area with many Festivals I was surprised and delighted to have an event with such a variety of artists and art work in my back yard. Congratulations to the organizers, they have done a great job in bringing this Festival to our area.”
M. M., Spotsylvania Resident.
“We were vacationing in the area this weekend and heard about the Festival, WOW are we glad we did. The location made for a perfect day. Even though the temperatures were hot, the shade and breezes made our time there, and we spent almost the entire day there, very enjoyable. The superiority and diversity of the artists and their arts made this one of the best Festivals we have attended. After returning to our hotel room Saturday night and reviewing our purchases, we realized we needed to return Sunday, and we did. FIVE STARS AND KUDOS!!”
